Water has played an important part in gardening since the very beginning. Originally the garden water features found in ancient Persia, Greece and Egypt were the preserve of royalty being used to cool the air and create a peaceful garden. It was even believed that nymphs inhabited streams and grottos and the water sources were decorated, hence the sculptured creatures such as Gods and Lions we see adoring water features from the classic Italian gardens to modern day. This tradition continues and the sight and sound of water in a garden adds much pleasure for the visitor.
From standing stones to gentle running water rills to grand Italianate pools, water flowing brings movement and sound to the garden. Whatever your budget or style a garden water feature can be installed to add some magic to your garden.
